1. This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; 아담 자손의 계보가 이러하니라 하나님이 사람을 창조하실 때에 하나님의 형상대로 지으시되

2. Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. 남자와 여자를 창조하셨고 그들이 창조되던 날에 하나님이 그들에게 복을 주시고 그들의 이름을 사람이라 일컬으셨더라

3. And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth: 아담이 일백 삼십세에 자기 모양 곧 자기 형상과 같은 아들을 낳아 이름을 셋이라 하였고

# begat : beget의 과거형 beget - begot/begat - begotten/begot ~의 아버지가 되다.

4. And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: 아담이 셋을 낳은 후 팔백년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며

5. And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died. 그가 구백 삼십세를 향수하고 죽었더라
  
6. And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos: 셋은 일백 오세에 에노스를 낳았고

7. And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters: 에노스를 낳은 후 팔백 칠년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며

8. And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died. 그가 구백 십 이세를 향수하고 죽었더라

9. And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan: 에노스는 구십세에 게난을 낳았고

10. And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters: 게난을 낳은 후 팔백 십 오년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며
  
11. And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died. 그가 구백 오세를 향수하고 죽었더라

12. And Cainan lived seventy years and begat Mahalaleel: 게난은 칠십세에 마할랄렐을 낳았고

13. And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters: 마할랄렐을 낳은 후 팔백 사십년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며

14. And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died. 그가 구백 십세를 향수하고 죽었더라

15. And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared: 마할랄렐은 육십 오세에 야렛을 낳았고
  
16. And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters: 야렛을 낳은 후 팔백 삼십년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며

17. And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died. 그가 팔백 구십 오세를 향수하고 죽었더라

18. And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch: 야렛은 일백 육십 이세에 에녹을 낳았고

19. And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: 에녹을 낳은 후 팔백년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며

20. And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died. 그가 구백 육십 이세를 향수하고 죽었더라
  
21. And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: 에녹은 육십 오세에 므두셀라를 낳았고

22. And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: 므두셀라를 낳은 후 삼백년을 하나님과 동행하며 자녀를 낳았으며

23. And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: 그가 삼백 육십 오세를 향수하였더라

24. And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. 에녹이 하나님과 동행하더니 하나님이 그를 데려 가시므로 세상에 있지 아니하였더라

25. And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech. 므두셀라는 일백 팔십 칠세에 라멕을 낳았고
  
26. And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters: 라멕을 낳은 후 칠백 팔십 이년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며

27. And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died. 그는 구백 육십 구세를 향수하고 죽었더라

28. And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: 라멕은 일백 팔십 이세에 아들을 낳고

29. And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed. 이름을 노아라 하여 가로되 여호와께서 땅을 저주하시므로 수고로이 일하는 우리를 이 아들이 안위하리라 하였더라

30. And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters: 라멕이 노아를 낳은 후 오백 구십 오년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며
  
31. And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died. 그는 칠백 칠십 칠세를 향수하고 죽었더라

32. And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth. 노아가 오백세 된 후에 셈과 함과 야벳을 낳았더라
